FLAG Science Based Target Setting Guidance Launch (Session 2)
The forest, land and agriculture (FLAG) sector is the second highest emitting sector after energy, and is also one of the most affected by the increasingly devastating impacts of climate change. Therefore, it has a responsibility and an obligation to step up climate action to keep the 1.5°C global temperature target within reach, tackle the food crisis and enable the transformation to a global net-zero future.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is launching the world’s first Standard for companies in land-intensive sectors to set science-based targets that include land-based emissions reductions and removals, filling a 22% gap in global emissions that have not been specifically addressed before.

Join us on September 28 to learn about the Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) Science Based Target Setting Guidance, and how businesses in this sector can set robust emissions reduction targets in line with climate science, to accelerate their decarbonization efforts at the pace needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
